UF’s Albers honored
BAY CITY, Mich. — Brooke Albers, a two-time national tournament qualifier for the University of Findlay women’s golf team, capped her senior year at UF by being voted first-team all-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in selections released by the league office on Thursday.
A second-team all-GLIAC pick in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Albers also earned all-region honors in 2012 when she was one of 12 individual qualifiers for the NCAA Division II championship. Albers returned to nationals this season when the Ft. Loramie native led UF to a seventh-place finish in the school’s first-ever team appearance in the NCAA meet.
