UF football: Six home games slated for UF in 2014

The University of Findlay’s football team will play six home games, including three in the first four weeks to start the season, as the Oilers released their 2014 schedule.
Findlay will kick off the season in its only night game at Donnell Stadium against Hillsdale (7 p.m.) on Saturday, Sept. 6, and the Oilers have a home game against McKendree (noon) the following week. On Sept. 27, Findlay will host Ashland at 3 p.m. in its homecoming game.
Findlay will travel to Tiffin on Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m., Ferris State on Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. and Northwood (Michigan) at 1 p.m. two weeks later. The Oilers last two games of the season are on the road as well (Malone, Nov. 8 at 3:30 p.m. and Northern Michigan on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m.).
Home games with Walsh (Oct. 11 at noon), Grand Valley State (Oct. 25 at noon) and Wayne State (Nov. 1 at noon) round out the season, as 10 of Findlay’s 11 games are against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams.
