ADA — Nathan Rosenbaum, a junior track and cross country runner at Ohio Northern University, has been named first-team Capital One Academic All-America by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
In cross country, Rosenbaum, a mechanical engineering major from Orrville, earned all-conference and all-region honors after placing third in the Ohio Athletic Conference championships and eighth in the Great Lakes Region meet.
At the NCAA Division III nationals, he also received the Elite 89 Award, which is presented to the student/athlete with the highest grade point average at each NCAA championship event.
In track, Rosenbaum set a school record in the 5,000-meter run and won OAC titles in both the 5,000 and 10,000.
Rosenbaum is the third student/athlete in ONU history to win an Elite 89 Award, joining Matt Fleming (men’s soccer, 2012) and Cody Lovejoy (wrestling, 2013).
