Youth golf: Foltz shoots 73 to take FAGA tourney title

KALIDA — Hunter Foltz carded a 1-over 73 to not only win his division, but lead the entire field as well during the Findlay Area Golf Association tournament held Monday at Country Acres Golf Course.

Foltz’s 73 easily topped the boys’ 14-15 age division. Brandon Wehrle was second with an 80.

Adam August fired an 80 to win the boys 16-18 competition, while Tyler Parrish (83) edged Nick Streacker (84) for second. Noah Frederick won the 12-13 title with an 85, and Andrew Kuenzli’s 44 topped the 10-11 field.

In the girls portion of the weekly tournament, Suzanne Short’s 91 took the title in the 14-18 bracket. Chloe Holliday’s 55 led the 10-13 divison.
