HAMLER — Ottawa-Glandorf pushed across the go-ahead run in the bottom of the seventh inning and held on to beat Miller City 5-4 on Monday in the championship game of the District 2 ACME baseball tournament at Patrick Henry’s Garrold Parratt Field.
Austin Verhoff got the win and Ben Dietering earned the save as O-G qualified for the ACME state tournament beginning this weekend in Archbold. The Titans will face the District 3 champion in a noon matchup.
Monday’s win was O-G second one-run victory over Miller City in two days. The Titans, beaten 11-9 and 20-14 by Miller City in two earlier tournament games, edged the Wildcats 7-6 on Sunday in the District 2 semifinal.
