Legion baseball: Findlay edges Ottawa

Nolan Rodman singled and scored during a four-run rally in the seventh inning, then drove in the winning run in the eighth inning to highlight Findlay’s 6-5 win over Ottawa on Wednesday in a nonleague American Legion baseball game.

Ottawa Post 63 tied the game 5-5 on Brad Stolly’s RBI single in the top of the eighth inning. Chandler Stillings walked in the bottom of the eighth, took second on a passed ball, and raced home on Rodman’s second base hit of the game.

Stillings also earned the win in relief of Findlay starter Garret Sendelbach.

Post 3 will face Maumee today at 7:30 p.m. at the Findlay High School field, then completes regular-season play at home on Saturday with a doubleheader with Pemberville.
