The University of Findlay women’s lacrosse program has added two new staff members as Sara Kuhlman and Andrea Holthaus will join the program as assistant coaches for the 2015 season.
Kuhlman has served as the co-head coach for the Velocity Lacrosse Club since 2012. The team is a competitive travel unit formed with high schools girls from southern Ohio. Kuhlman was also a standout during her prep years at Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame High School. She ended her career as the programs’s all-time scoring leader and earned all-Ohio honors in the process.
Holthaus was a four-year letter winner for the Oilers volleyball team and is ranked 11th all-time at UF with 285 total blocks. She appeared in 310 sets during her tenure with the program and also racked up 243 kills.
The University of Findlay men and women’s swimming and diving teams both earned Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
The UF men’s team finished 12th nationally among NCAA Division II teams with a 3.24 Grade Point Average while the women’s squad placed 40th with a 3.25 GPA.
The Scholar All-American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester.
