Girls Soccer Roundup: Upper, Van Buren play to 2-2 draw

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky erased a 2-0 deficit with a pair of second-half goals to pull out a 2-2 draw with Van Buren in a North Central Ohio Soccer Coaches Association girls soccer match on Saturday.
Trudy Daughenbaugh scored a goal with an assist for the Rams (4-1-1 overall, 1-0-1 NCOSA). Sierra Carey netted the team’s other goal.
Nichole Miller and Lisa Simmons netted goals for the Black Knights (4-0-1, 0-0-1).

KALIDA — Paige Roller and Jackie Gardner each had a goal and assist to lead Kalida over Wauseon 4-0 in a nonleague girls soccer match.
Hannah Warn and Taylor Zeller also scored for the Wildcats (1-2-1), which outshot Wauseon 28-5. Mariah Doepker and Alexa Ellerbrock also had an assist for Kalida, and Morgan Knapke stopped five shots.
Ashleigh Allison had 18 saves for Wauseon (2-3).

BRYAN — Ottawa-Glandorf scored five time in the first half en route to a 6-0 win on the road against Bryan.
Six different Titans scored goals, while Grace Warnecke, Elissa Ellerbrock and Ashley Siefker each had a goal and an assist. As a team, Ottawa-Glandorf put 28 shots on Bryan goalkeeper Hannah Wieland.

DEFIANCE — Miller City’s Cassie Niese scored two goals to help the Wildcats pick up their first win of the season with a 5-0 victory over Defiance in nonconference girls soccer action.
Megan Niese, Tiffany Welty and Taylor Kaufman also scored for Miller City (1-0-2). Defiance fell to 0-3.

Lima Bath picked up its fifth-straight win to start the season win a 3-1 nonconference victory at Liberty-Benton Saturday .
The Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead against the Eagles. Alyssa Manley scored twice and Bath had eight shots on Liberty-Benton goalkeeper Colbi Colchagoff.
Leah Recker scored the only goal of the contest for the Eagles (1-2-2).

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale improved its record to 5-0 with a 1-0 nonconference win over Botkins.
Taylor Frey scored for the Falcons, who had a 13-1 edge in shots.
Goalkeeper Jenna Livingston recorded one save to get the shutout for the Falcons.

SYCAMORE — Bluffton stopped Mohawk 3-1 in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association girls game Saturday to even its record at 2-2 on the season.
The Pirates also improved to 2-1 in conference play. Mohawk fell to 0-3 overall 0-2 in the NCOSA.
Brooke Koontz scored a pair of goals and Katie Burkholder added a single tally for the Pirates. Cambria Kohlenberg netted a score for Mohawk.
Ally Weinandy recorded 15 saves for the Warriors. Jadyn Barhorst stopped eight shots for Bluffton.
