Girls Soccer Roundup: State-ranked O-G plays to 2-2 draw with Celina

CELINA — Both goalkeepers stood tall Tuesday as state-ranked Ottawa-Glandorf and Celina played to a 0-0 tie in a Western Buckeye League girls soccer game.
Cassie Schroeder had four saves for Ottawa-Glandorf (4-0-1, 0-0-1 WBL), which is ranked eighth in the first state coaches’ poll released Monday.
Callie Vogel also had four saves for Celina (0-1-3, 0-0-1 WBL).

UPPER SANDUSKY 0
UPPER SANDUSKY — Emily Yeager’s goal with 14 minutes left in the first half proved to be the difference as Mansfield St. Peter’s edged Upper Sandusky 1-0 in nonconference girls soccer action on Tuesday.
Upper Sandusky (4-2-1) outshot Mansfield St. Peter’s (2-2-1) 11-4, but MaKenzie Hendrickson stopped all 11 of the Rams’ shots. Makenna Searls had three saves for Upper Sandusky.

FORT JENNINGS — McKenna Scott and Paige Lawhorn each had a goal and an assist Tuesday to lead Continental to a 2-0 victory over Fort Jennings in a Putnam County League soccer game.
The Pirates (4-1, 1-0 PCL) outshot Fort Jennings (1-2-2, 0-1-1 PCL) 18-9. Emma Recker (two saves) and Ashley Mansfield (four saves) shared the shutout. Erin Osting had 11 saves for Fort Jennings.

BLUFFTON 0
VAN WERT — Hannah McCleery scored both of Lincolnview’s goals as the Lancers blanked Bluffton 2-0 in a Northwest Conference girls soccer match on Tuesday.
Lincolnview improved to 3-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NWC, while Bluffton fell to 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the NWC. Jadyn Bahrhorst had six saves for the Pirates.
