Prep golf: Harris leads Findlay girls to 3rd in TRAC shootout

OTTAWA LAKE. Mich. — Emma Harris shot a 75 Thursday to lead the Findlay High girls golf team to third place in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Shootout I at The Legacy Golf Club.
Toledo St. Ursula won with a 314, followed by Toledo Notre Dame (346), Findlay (368), Oregon Clay (388), Toledo Whitmer (446) and Fremont Ross (536).
Chloe Holliday had an 81 for Findlay, with Jade Smith shooting a 102 and Carsyn Counts a 110.

H-L wins in tiebreaker
TIFFIN — Hopewell-Loudon used its depth Thursday to win the team championship on a fifth-player tiebreaker at the Seneca East Invitational at Clinton Heights Golf Course.
The Chieftains and Carey tied at 329, and Jena Huffman’s 89 from the No. 5 spot edged Carey’s Ethan Tanner by a stroke to give Hopewell-Loudon the title. Buckeye Central (336) was third.
North Baltimore (381) was seventh; Van Buren’s JV (388) was ninth; Mohawk (415) placed 10th; and Old Fort (408) was 12th in the 15-team field.
Fostoria did not field a full team.
Carey’s Marcus Miller shot a 74 to win individual medalist honors.
Marcus White shot a 79 to lead Hopewell-Loudon, with Conner White carding an 81. Adam Creger had an 82 and Garrett White an 87.
Trey Bame shot an 80 to lead Carey. Dylan Grothaus had an 86 and McKain Miller an 89.
Hunter Baker had the low round for North Baltimore with an 89. Logan Druw paced Mohawk with a 94, Jarett Woodall led Old Fort at 91 and Jacob Counts shot 97 for Fostoria.
No individual results were reported for Van Buren’s junior varsity.

Goeb’s 83 leads FHS boys
NASHPORT — Jordan Goeb shot a 41-42–83 Thursday to lead Findlay High at the New Albany Eagle Invitational at The Virtues Golf Club.
Findlay shot a 359 as a team to finish last in the 22-team field. Harrsion Hall shot 40-45–85, Will Templin 45-44–89 and Grant Lane 48-54–102 for the Trojans.
Dublin Jerome won the team championship with a 285, ahead of St. Charles (303) and New Albany’s “A” team (303).
Dublin Jerome’s Davis Root and Ethan Snyder, Pickerington North’s Josh Tasney and St. Charles’ Michael Shyu each shot 69 to tie for individual medalist honors.
Olentangy Liberty’s Hunter Corbin (71) and Dublin Jerome’s Blake Soloman also earned all-tournament honors.

Nartker medals again
DEFIANCE — Kalida’s Christian Nartker fired a 36-36­–72 Thursday to earn medalist honors and lead the Wildcats to a second-place team finish at the Paulding Invitational at Auglaize Golf Club.
Kalida’s Josh Recker backed Nartker with a 75 to place fourth individually. Nartker edged Archbold’s Trevor Rupp (73) and Kade Kern (74) atop the individual standings.
Archbold shot 301 as a team to defeat Kalida (321) and Wauseon (338).
Patrick Henry placed seventh in the 18-team field with a 348. Kaiden McGraw had the low round for the Patriots with an 82.
