Findlay High roundup: Harris co-medals at Celina Invitational

CELINA — Findlay High’s Emma Harris shot a 78 to earn co-medalist honors and help the Trojans’ girls golf team take fourth out of 14 schools at the Celina Invitational on Thursday at the Celina Lynx Golf Course.
Harris shared the honors with Lauren Durham of Versailles as the only two players to break 80. Harris ended up second in a scorecard playoff.
Findlay’s Chloe Holliday shot 80 to finish in third place while Jade Smith (103) and Carsyn Kouns (112) rounded out the scoring.
The Trojans ended up four shots behind winner Wayne Trace which edged Lima Shawnee 369-371 for the title with Versailles (372) in a close third.

Shawnee blanks FHS
Lima Shawnee didn’t drop a set in sweeping Findlay High’s girls tennis team 5-0 in nonleague play Thursday at the FHS Courts.
The Trojans dropped to 1-2 overall while Shawnee ups its record to 3-0.
In singles play, Alotus Wei topped Suzi Zuver 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot, Aria Patel breezed by Julia Weigman 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 2 slot and Kunmi Ojo defeated Becca Mathews 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 3 match.
Shawnee’s No. 1 doubles team of Katie Clark and Sanjana Rajasekaran defeated Katelynn Coleman and Brooklyn Peck, 6-0, 6-1.
Maggie McGhee and Izzy Zalat forced a second-set tiebreaker but ultimately fell 6-2, 7-6 (5) to Marley Evans and Kaylyn Frisby.
