Prep Volleyball Roundup: Fostoria’s Settles is killing it

ROSSFORD — Tyriana Settles’ school record for kills in a single match was short lived.
Settles, who set the school record with 40 kills in a four-set win over Lake on Sept. 7, broke her own mark with 47 kills Tuesday in a 25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 25-13 Northern Buckeye Conference win at Rossford. She also added eight digs and five aces in the win for Fostoria (9-3, 4-1 NBC).
Dakota Thomas handed out 49 assists, Mary Harris had 17 digs, and Zoe Rice and Baleigh Robinson added 10 digs apiece for Fostoria.
Rossford dropped to 3-4 and 2-1 in the NBC.

OTTOVILLE — Abi Hilvers dished out 28 assists and served five aces as she helped Ottoville’s volleyball team remain unbeaten with a 25-9, 25-11, 25-3 win over Upper Scioto Valley in nonleague action Tuesday.
C.J. Kemper added 10 digs and eight kills, while Emily Landin totaled 12 digs and three aces for the Big Green (10-0). Brynlee Hanneman stuffed four blocks.
Upper Scioto Valley fell to 0-8.

Aimee Ritter had 18 assists, Karis Wilson finished with nine digs and Ashley Eachus and Katie Prater added six kills each for Bluffton (0-5, 0-1).

Madi Chester had 13 kills and three aces, and Emma Myers-Huffman stuffed seven blocks for Mohawk (6-2, 4-2 N10).
Bre Rosario led Upper Sandusky (2-7, 2-3 N10) with three aces on 19 of 20 serving and 15 digs. Anna Johnson added 11 kills while Lucy Smith was 68 of 71 setting with 33 assists.

Amber Logan slammed 19 kills while adding seven digs and four aces for Continental (5-4, 1-1 PCL). Hannah Troyer collected 21 digs and Jessica Stauffer totaled 38 assists and 15 digs.
Sarah Klausing had 14 kills on 42 of 49 spiking, 12 assists on 64 of 69 setting, 20 digs and a pair of blocks for Kalida (1-7, 0-2 PCL). Tara Gerding added 20 assists and Grace Klausing had 28 digs for the Wildcats.

The Bulldogs fell to 4-2 overall, 0-1 in the NWC while the Knights improved to 5-2, 1-0.
Carlee McCleur and Rylee Sybert each had 13 digs for Columbus Grove.

Meggan Meyer and Sofie Van Wezel each had five kills, and Meyer added six aces and three blocks for Miller City (5-4). Brittany Kuhlman had 18 digs, 14 assists and three aces, while Mandy Schroeder had 17 digs.
Lima Temple Christian fell to 2-6.

Lawyer Stansberry hoisted 28 assists on 96 for 96 setting and Dana Worst made 15 digs as the Blue Devils, ranked 20th in the season’s first state volleyball coaches association poll, improved to 9-1.
Kiely Taylor and Morgan Miller notched six kills apiece for the Stockaders (2-7), with Taylor adding two blocks. Maddi Guth collected 20 assists and a pair of aces and Jenna Clouse made 15 digs.
