CRESTLINE — It’s share and share alike as far as the Northern 10 Conference boys championship is concerned.
Ridgedale and Carey finished first and second respectively in Tuesday’s league tournament and will share the overall N10 championship, which is based on regular season dual matches combined with the conference tournament.
Carey beat Ridgedale 172-176 when the two teams met in their N10 dual match Aug. 31 at Bob’s Countryside Golf. But on Tuesday, tournament medalist Mitchill Reasoner shot a 72 to help the Rockets upend the Blue Devils 332-352 for first place at Valley View.
Both Carey and Ridgedale finished with 30 points in the overall standings. Upper Sandusky, which finished third in the tournament with a 355, is locked into third place in the final standings with one N10 match yet to play. Mohawk, the three-time defending N10 champs, was sixth in the tournament with a 377.
Carey’s Marcus Miller finished third individually with a 77. Trey Bame (82), Ethan Tanner (93) and Dylan Grothaus (100) completed the scoring for the Blue Devils.
Reigning N10 Player of the Year Brett Montgomery finished second individually with a 75 to lead the way for Upper Sandusky. He can clinch player of the year honors for the second straight year with a solid performance in the Rams’ final N10 match of the season Thursday at Bucyrus.
Trevor Clifford was next for Upper Sandusky with an 88. Evan Young (94) and Keegan Hossler (98) rounded out the top four scores for Upper Sandusky.
