Prep soccer: St. Ursula bumps Findlay High

TOLEDO — Findlay High’s girls soccer team held a 1-0 lead for nearly 50 minutes, but three Toledo St. Ursula goals in the final 20 minutes dealt the Trojans a 3-1 Three Rivers Athletic Conference loss Wednesday.
Madison Mlsna put Findlay (2-6-2, 0-3-1 TRAC) on the board first with a goal, assisted by Morgan Kirk, just 10:10 in.
Payton Sullivan scored an equalizer with 20:06 remaining for Toledo St. Ursula (5-3-1, 2-1-0).
With 4:06 to go, a corner kick resulted in a Findlay own goal, giving the Arrows a 2-1 lead.
St. Ursula’s Katie Carban put the game away with a score just 40 seconds later.
Defensively for Findlay, Chase Ebanks had 14 intercepts and a steal, Jaclyn Bendt made 11 intercepts with a steal and Margot Simeon had eight intercepts.

ADA — Seven different players scored for Van Buren on Wednesday leading the Black Knights 7-0 over Ada in a North Central Ohio Soccer Association match.
Lisa Simmons jump-started Van Buren’s offense with a goal less than five minutes in on assists from Annie Mowrey and Morgan Jackson. Zoe Horne and Issy Pawlak added first-half goal for the Knights (5-4-2, 3-1 NCOSA). Mady Parker, Emily Scherf, Hannah Missler and Mia George scored in the second half.
The Bulldogs fell to 0-5-1 overall and 0-3 in the NCOSA.
