KANSAS — Trevor Franks ran for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries as Lakota extended its winning streak to three games with a 28-7 win over Sandusky St. Mary’s on Friday night in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division contest.
Franks raced 25 and 4 yards for touchdowns and caught a pass for another score as the Raiders put the game away with three fourth-quarter tallies and raised their overall record to 3-2.
The Panthers (0-5) scored in the first quarter when Michael Sloan, who finished with 220 yards on 29 carries, ran 68 yards for a touchdown.
After St. Mary’s took a 7-0 lead into halftime, Lakota tied the game when Franks caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Gabel with 3:04 left in the third quarter.
Lakota went ahead to stay when Gabel connected with Colton Rader on a 47-yard touchdown pass with 11:32 left in the game.
Gabel finished with 15 completions in 23 attempts for 338 yards. Rader caught six passes for 103 yards.
