UF sports: Soccer teams fall

The early goal and the late goal proved to be costly for the University of Findlay men’s soccer team which fell 2-1 to Tiffin in nonleague play Wednesday.
Abdoul Magid Sy put the Dragons (6-4-3) in front first on an unassisted goal just 6:34 in.
After UF’s Josh Burton tied it up in the waning minutes of the first half, Magid Sy struck again with 17 minutes to go.
Alex Kerstetter also had an assist for the Oilers (9-3).

Women’s soccer falls
PAINESVILLE — Ashley Price and Carly Kandel had a goal and an assist each on Wednesday in leading Lake Erie College to a 3-1 women’s soccer win over the University of Findlay.
UF’s Megan Kupetz scord on an assist from Sierra Peacock to trim Lake Erie’s lead to 2-1 by the half. But the Storm got an insurance second half goal from Brett Pauff to put it away.
UF, 3-11-0 overall and 2-8-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference play, outshot Lake Erie (4-7-1, 3-5-1 GMAC) 12-8. Marissa Brannon made 10 saves in goal for Lake Erie. Anna Monley made five saves for UF.
