Boys basketball roundup: Larsen scores 29 for Heritage

LIMA — The Lima Eagles had no answer for Heritage Christian’s post Marcus Larsen on Tuesday as the Minutemen trounced the Eagles in the opening quarter and held on for a 56-39 boys basketball win.
Larsen poured in a game-high 29 points and ripped down 11 rebounds to pace Heritage Christian, which outscored the Eagles 14-3 in the first quarter. The Minutemen improved to 6-10 overall.
Josh Grimm added 11 points for Heritage and Matthew Bame led with five assists.
Ethan Radabaugh led the Lima Eagles (2-14) with 19 points and four steals. Andrew Klay grabbed nine rebounds.

Luke Bolte led three Hopewell-Loudon (12-6) players in double digits with 13 points. Jordan Jury and Jake Simonis each scored 10 points. Jury had six assists and Bolte a team-best six rebounds.
Brevon Polachek led Willard (4-13) with 15 points. Terry Baldridge had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Myles Pinkston added 10 points.

LIMA — Miller City forced Lima Perry to shoot 33.3 percent on 2-pointers on Tuesday, but the Commodores poured in 10 threes at a near-50 percent clip in beating the Wildcats 49-35 in nonleague action.
Logan Dray led the charge with four 3s and a game-high 14 points for Perry (11-7), while three others knocked down at least one 3 and scored in double figures.
Noah Otto’s 12 points was the high for Miller City (12-8), Luke Lammers scored 10 and Mark Kuhlman grabbed seven rebounds with seven assists.
