BLUFFTON — Bluffton University’s Ryan Golden and Jack Bondy were named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference hitter and pitcher of the week respectively after their performances last week in Florida.
Golden, a Findlay native, posted a .583 batting average for the week. He was 14 of 24 with 12 runs and 15 RBI. Golden ripped five doubles, a triple and a home run.
Bondy helped Bluffton to a 5-2 mark for the week on the way to the best 10-game start in BU history. He had a 0.00 ERA in 71/3 innings spread over two games. He was 1-0 with a save, limiting opponents to a .192 batting average with four strikeouts.
BLUFFTON — Bluffton University’s Kaycee Rowe was named third team All-Great Lakes Region.
A back-to-back first team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honoree, Rowe led the HCAC with 15.0 points per game and her 8.6 rebounds per game were second in the conference.
