KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) — The Olympic men’s snowboardcross has been postponed due to fog.

Officials pushed back the race early Monday afternoon after a heavy fog that blanketed Rosa Khutor Extreme Park failed to lift.

A new date and time for the event has not been announced.

The postponement came after officials scrubbed the seeding runs originally set for 10 a.m. local time. The expected 1:30 p.m. start of the elimination rounds came and went with visibility still low.

It’s unclear when the event will take place. There are no medal events scheduled for the course on Tuesday or Wednesday, though the course was to be available for skicross training both days.
