PANDORA — More than a foot of snow fell in the Pandora area during December, according to Guy Verhoff, U.S. weather observer.
Verhoff recorded 14.3 inches of snow in December, with 4.55 inches of total precipitation. That’s nearly double the normal amount of precipitation for the month, which is 2.67 inches. The most snow, 6.3 inches, came on Dec. 14.
Temperatures were near normal for the month. The average temperature was 28.8 degrees. The normal average is 29.6.
The highest temperature of the month, 61 degrees, came on Dec. 5. The lowest temperature was minus 2 on Dec. 12.
