‘Art in the Park’ workshops planned

“Art in the Park” workshops, presented by the Hancock Park District, will be held in “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center at Oakwoods Nature Preserve.
The monthly workshops will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through November. Dates will be: Jan. 15, Feb. 19, March 19, April 16, May 21, June 18, July 16, Aug. 20, Sept. 17, Oct. 15 and Nov. 19.
Participants will explore nature journaling techniques, including observation skills, sketching, painting and writing. There will be live and mounted wildlife, and botanical specimens used during the workshops.
The programs are for teens to adults of all skill and experience levels. Participants should bring a sketch book and drawing supplies. No registration or fee is required.
