The Findlay Rotary Club is taking nominations for the area’s most outstanding teachers.
Nominees will be competing for the Golden Apple Award, given each year to teachers at the elementary, middle school and high school level in Findlay and Hancock County schools, according to the club.
The Rotary Club is accepting nominations until March 31. Nomination forms can be found on the club’s website at findlayrotary.org.
To be eligible, teachers can teach anything from preschool to 12th grade in a Findlay or Hancock County school, must have taught at least three years in their current school system, and must have spent a majority of their time in the classroom, according to the club.
No self-nominations are allowed and teachers cannot receive the Golden Apple Award more than once.
The three winners will receive their Golden Apple and a $2,500 award at a dinner on Oct. 21, according to the club.
