Skywarn training will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 7 at Whirlpool Corp.’s assembly room.
The training is free.
Local members of Amateur Radio Emergency Services are part of the Skywarn network, which uses volunteer storm spotters to help gather information for the National Weather Service during severe weather.
No special equipment is necessary to become a trained weather spotter.
