Findlay police arrested an Alger man for drug possession early Monday.
Joseph E. Erbe, 33, was detained during a traffic stop at 12:33 a.m. in the 100 block of South Main Street, police said.
Police requested assistance from a Hancock County sheriff’s deputy and his drug-sniffing dog. The dog discovered the smell of drugs in the vehicle and prompted a search, police said.
The search uncovered more than a pound of marijuana, suboxone and numerous oxycodone pills, according to police.
Erbe was charged with possession of marijuana, a fifth-degree felony; possession of a schedule II drug, also a fifth-degree felony; and possession of a schedule III drug, a first-degree misdemeanor.
He is being held at the Hancock County jail.
