The Ohio Attorney General’s Office will be hosting a free session on state public records and open government laws from 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. July 22 in Winebrenner Theological Seminary’s TLB Auditorium, 950 N. Main St.
The public is welcome to attend the training, which will also provide certification to elected officials or their designees as required by law during each term in office.
Registration is required due to space and material limitations. Findlay Auditor’s Office personnel, who have been working with state officials to organize the event, suggest early registration “since the training is available to any citizen in the state and will likely include elected officials from within surrounding counties.”
This session is, so far, the only one scheduled in northwestern Ohio. To register, visit www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/Legal/Sunshine-Laws/Sunshine-Law-Training.
