TIFFIN — M and B Asphalt, Old Fort, was the apparent low bidder for the annual township roads repaving project in Seneca County. The company bid more than $1.066 million. There were three other companies which bid Tuesday.
The townships provide 40 percent of the money and state Issue 1 infrastructure money pays for the county’s share.
Seneca County Engineer Mark Zimmerman will review the bids and make a recommendation to the commissioners. The project estimate was more than $1.17 million.
Separately, the commissioners approved a resolution granting Whitta Construction, Fostoria, the annual contract to chip and seal some county roads. The company bid more than $1.096 million when bids were opened May 13.
