Warmer, drier May recorded

PANDORA — May was warmer and drier than usual, according to records kept by Guy Verhoff, the U.S. weather observer in Pandora.
The average temperature was 62 degrees. The normal average temperature was 60.5 degrees. The mercury climbed to its highest point, 88 degrees, on May 27. It dipped to a low of 38 degrees on May 6.
Rainfall for the month totalled 2.66 inches, according to Verhoff. Average precipitation for the month is 4.01 inches.
