Hancock Soil and Water Conservation District, in partnership with the National Center for Water Quality Research at Heidelberg University, Tiffin, will sponsor private well water testing.
Test kits will be available at the conservation district office from Aug. 7 through Aug. 18. The kits should be returned Aug. 19. Kits will be sent to Tiffin and results will be mailed to property owners.
Test kits include: nitrate/inorganic, $25; pesticide immunoassay screens, $60; and metals, $75. The conservation district will provide $5 toward the price of each kit.
