Karen D. Endrek passed away in her sleep at home after a brief illness on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Karen was born to Elmo and Bertha (Roeder) Campbell on July 19, 1946 in Findlay, Ohio.
Karen was preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Kathren Campbell. Karen is survived by a brother, Robert (Connie) Campbell of Wheeling, Illinois and by four nieces, Linda Eaton, Donna Olsen, Jody Reese and Jan Buss.
Karen married Arden Endrek in 1984 and he survives. Also surviving are two daughters: Sandra (Alex) Antonian of Southaven, Mississippi, Stacey (Scott) Shelling of Rockton, Illinois and four grandchildren. Karen is also survived by her faithful dog Charlie.
Karen was a member of the 1964 Findlay High School graduating class. She was first employed in admissions for seven years by Findlay College and then for 30 years by RCA-Harris-GE-Intersil of Findlay where she retired as the Administrative Secretary for the Plant Manager. She was a long time member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in McComb.
Visitation and a memorial service will be held at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 with a memorial service following visitation at 8:00 PM. Pastor Linda Zaye will conduct the memorial service. There will be a private burial at Knollcrest Gardens at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Teddy’s Rescue and Sanctuary, Inc., 12409 County Road 99, Findlay.
