Floyd T. Flugga, 72 of Findlay, passed away 2:08 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Birchaven Village, Findlay surrounded by his family. He was born on January 29, 1945 in Hancock County to the late Harry S. and Maudie (Bosworth) Flugga. On June 23, 1972, he married Sharon K. Deal and she preceded him in death on November 25, 2014.
Floyd and Sharon raised three girls, Tammy (Bob) Herringshaw of North Baltimore, Carolyn (Eric) Downing of Findlay and Patricia (Joel) Walton of Upper Sandusky. Floyd is survived by his brother, William Flugga of Findlay; sisters, Carolyn Margraf of Arcadia and Mary Shearer of Findlay; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Floyd is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Flugga, Harry Flugga, Jr., Don Flugga and Kenneth Flugga; sisters, Ruth Ann Parker and Kathryn Davis.
Floyd attended Trinity Baptist Church. His first job was working with his older brother, Charles, at Findlay Body. He retired from Findlay Industries.
Floyd enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He also liked riding his motorcycle, when he was able. He loved working with wood and could fix anything. He was a hard working, loving man and anyone who came into contact with him, loved him.
The last few years of his life were a struggle, but thanks to the Bridge Hospice team for giving him his quality of life and for making him comfortable. They all became part of his family. Hospice became a big part of his life and he looked forward to their visits. Thank you to Birchaven Village for the quality care he received.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay with Pastor Michael Spann officiating. Burial will follow in Powell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Memorial contributions can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
