Cridersville — A funeral for Jimmie Dale Fruchey, 85, of Cridersville and formerly of Columbus Grove, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, the Rev. Larry Molaski officiating. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fruchey died at 10:51 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
He married Bonnie Kay (Watkins) Gillespie and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, David of Reno, Nevada; Daniel (Kelly) of Santa Rosa, California; two daughters, Deborah (Robert) Hamaker, Walnut Creek, California; Tamara “Tammy” Fort, Kent, Washington; five stepsons, Randy Gillespie, Denver, Colorado; Rick (Gay) Gillespie, Golden, Colorado; Robert (Chris) Gillespie, Jenera; Rod Gillespie, Indio, California; Roy (Julie) Gillespie, Wapakoneta; three sisters, Maxine Fruchey, Brandon, Mississippi; Denise Stratton, Lima; and Anita (Tom) Bogart, Bluffton.
Mr. Fruchey served in the Army Airborne as a 1st lieutenant during the Korean conflict.
