Larry L. Corbin

Larry Lynn Corbin, 80, of Findlay, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 7, 2018 while surrounded by the love of his family. He was born May 15, 1938 in Findlay, Ohio to the late John G. and Alice M. (Parcher) Corbin. A 1956 graduate of Findlay High School, Larry married his high school sweetheart, who lived across the street from him, Mary A. Karcher, on March 29, 1958.

Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1957 “” 1960 before being honorably discharged. In 1997, he retired from Whirlpool after 20 plus years of service. Larry was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association, a BMW member, the experimental Aircraft Association, and the Findlay Ham Radio Club (N8RMT) and Sky Warn.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary; his children, James D. (Julia) Corbin of McKinney, TX and Lynn M. (Tim) Sopher of Fostoria, Ohio; 5 wonderful grandchildren, David Sopher, Allison (Greg) Croskey, Lisa Corbin (Zach Janszen), Rebecca Corbin, and Jaime Corbin. He is also survived by his brother, Glenn Richard “Dick” (Mary Lynn) Corbin; and a sister-in-law, Judy Karcher. Larry was preceded in death by two sisters, Francis Ruth Corbin and Rita Joyce Wright; and brother-in-law, Clair Karcher.

Friends and family may visit on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 1″”3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd, Findlay (419-422-1500) and one hour (9:30 “” 10:30 a.m.) prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. A graveside service for Larry will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 11th in Maple Grove Cemetery with the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad performing full military rites.
