Gary Lee Cramer, age 74, of Findlay, died at 7:25 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Kenton, Ohio on August 20, 1943 to the late Jay Edward and Leah Janice (Snider) Cramer.
On April 15, 1966, he married Diana Louise Shea and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Lori (Greg) Staley of Bluffton; grandchildren, Jake and Kylee Staley. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Lee Cramer II and his sister, Argyle Breidenbach.
Gary retired after 35 years from Whirlpool and then worked for Findlay Warehousing after his retirement. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the AMVETS. Gary and his son ran the chains at the Riverdale football games for many years. He had been a trustee at Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church and was very active with Mt. Blanchard Boy Scout Troop # 314, being an honorary member of the Order of the Arrow and attending the World Jamboree in Calgary Canada. He was a member of the Mt. Blanchard Lions Club. Gary served on the Flag City Balloon Fest Committee for many years. He was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan, loved woodworking, was always very active in his children’s activities, and cherished his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME in Findlay. All other services will be private.
