TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio apartment building owner accused of setting a blaze that killed two firefighters is due back in court.
Ray Abou-Arab was charged with aggravated murder and aggravated arson just days after a fire near downtown killed two firefighters in late January.
The 61-year-old Abou-Arab is being held on a nearly $6 million bond. He is set to be arraigned Tuesday in Toledo.
Court documents allege Abou-Arab was in a garage at the site of the fire just before an apartment resident said she saw the blaze break out.
His attorney has not commented on the charges or returned messages left at his office.
