Bond Set At $2M For 3 Charged After Ohio Slaying

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A central Ohio man and two other adults charged with aggravated burglary and theft after the slaying of his grandfather are being held on $2 million bond each.

The Circleville Herald ( ) reports the three have not been charged in last week’s slaying of 84-year-old Thomas Whitson, though more charges are expected.

Investigators say they’ve recovered several firearms that were missing from Whitson’s home in Orient when a neighbor found him dead Sunday. He was shot in the head.

The burglary suspects charged in Circleville Municipal Court are Whitson’s grandson, 30-year-old Shaun Lawson of Columbus, 20-year-old Kyle Robinson of Columbus and 20-year-old Joshua Johnson of Grove City.

Court records list no attorneys for them.

Two 17-year-old suspects in the case are expected to be arraigned next week in juvenile court.
