COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Four Columbus firefighters have suffered minor injuries after a ladder fell on them during a fire at a business in downtown Columbus.
Authorities tell The Columbus Dispatch (bit.ly/QofU6G) that two firefighters are being checked at a hospital but that their injuries aren’t severe. Two others have been treated at the scene.
Firefighters were called to the business, which houses a bakery, shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday for a fire that is believed to have started in the basement. A ladder that had been against the side of the building was blown over by wind, striking the firefighters.
