Ohio To Induct 12 More Into Senior Citizens Hall

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio officials are set to honor 12 people with inductions into the state Senior Citizens Hall of Fame.

The hall recognizes the impact of the contributions of leaders in their fields, community activists and others who have benefited the state. The induction ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse will follow a legislative reception Tuesday afternoon.

This year’s nominees range in age from 72 to 95.

The Ohio Department of Aging says the Hall of Fame highlights the important roles of older Ohioans as they continue to contribute later in life. The hall is for native Ohioans or residents of at least 10 years who are 60 or older. Since 1977, more than 400 individuals have been inducted into the hall.
