COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Police in central Ohio say a fight between teens girls ended with one of them being stabbed to death and the other being arrested.
Columbus police say 17-year-old Jasmine Goodwin was killed Wednesday afternoon on the city’s east side, and a 16-year-old girl is now charged with murder.
A report says Goodwin went over to the other girl’s house to fight at about 3 p.m., and it escalated from there. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other girl was questioned for several hours Wednesday night before a delinquency count of murder was filed against her. Police say they are still seeking witnesses.
Goodwin was a junior at Walnut Ridge High School, which planned to have grief counselors available on Thursday.
