CINCINNATI (AP) — Thousands of customers are without power in eastern Cincinnati.
The cause of the outages that began after 7 a.m. Monday wasn’t known immediately. Duke Energy’s outage map showed some 22,000 locations without power in some of the city’s eastern neighborhoods.
A Duke spokeswoman says there appears to be an issue with the Oakley neighborhood substation, and workers plan to reroute customers.
Authorities advised drivers to treat intersections with nonworking traffic lights as four-way stops.
Morning temperatures in the 60s are expected to rise to near 90 degrees later Monday.
