NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie has added another politically important state to his fundraising tour for fellow GOP candidates.
The chairman of the Republican Governors Association will visit Ohio, a key swing state, at the end of September.
Christie is scheduled to attend a Summit County Republican Party fundraising dinner on Sept. 29.
A save-the-date invitation provided by the group says tickets for the Akron event will go for $300.
Christie says his schedule next month will also include a return to Maine to campaign for Gov. Paul LePage as well as stops in South Carolina and North Carolina.
He’ll be starting the month with a three-day foreign trade mission to Mexico.
Christie is considering a run for the White House in 2016.
