DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A southwest Ohio college plans a series of campus forums beginning this week on the search for a new president.

Wright State University’s search committee is seeking input on who should become the school’s seventh president. David Hopkins is stepping down next June after 10 years.

The committee will have forums Monday at the Dayton campus, Tuesday at the school of medicine, and Wednesday at its Lake campus. The sessions are open to the public as well as students, faculty, staff and alumni.

The search committee wants to hear what the community wants in terms of qualifications, experience and background for the president of the public school with nearly 18,000 students.

The committee also plans an Oct. 19 presidential symposium as it works to create a presidential profile.
