CINCINNATI (AP) — A former police officer suspected in a series of armed robberies in the Cincinnati area has been arrested.
Investigators say they found evidence linking 30-year-old Jacob Goodwin to five robberies. They occurred over the past month at a restaurant, a pharmacy, a convenience store and two gas stations.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says the man from suburban Anderson Township is charged with aggravated robbery.
Court records listed no attorney for Goodwin.
Investigators say the robber wore a mask and gloves, demanded cash from the registers at the businesses, and displayed a weapon or implied that he had one. Authorities say they have surveillance video showing the suspect’s vehicle.
WCPO-TV reports Goodwin worked in recent years at police departments in Elmwood Place and Aberdeen.
