CINCINNATI (AP) _ Chemed Corp. (CHE) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $55 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Cincinnati-based company said it had net income of $3.27. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to $2.81 per share.
The operator of the Roto-Rooter plumbing service and Vitas Healthcare hospices posted revenue of $441.8 million in the period.
Chemed expects full-year earnings in the range of $11.35 to $11.55 per share.
Chemed shares have risen 32 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $321.25, a rise of 59 percent in the last 12 months.
