SHE’D RATHER WAIT IN LINE
Does Deb Berning (letter, Feb. 19) ever think about the people she helps put out of work by using the self-checkout lines at grocery stores?
She whines about a cracked egg or a squashed loaf of bread while families starve?
I, for one, would rather wait an hour than to buy into that.
Berning seems just a little too self-centered.
Eat your food and thank God you still can. Many can’t.

ANGELS IN DISGUISE
As I was attempting to make it to work early Tuesday on an unplowed road outside of town, I got stuck in very deep snow.
I was wondering what I was going to do as three vehicles slowly made their way up behind me.
Three angels disguised as three rather large men got out and pushed me back onto the road.
This all happened within 10 minutes.
I’m thankful for those wonderful, kind men who made it my best snow day ever!
