Police Department

A traffic stop Friday in the 400 block of West Trenton Avenue resulted in an arrest for having syringes in a car.
A domestic dispute occurred Thursday in the 24000 block of Jennifer Lane.

Sheriff’s Office

A 14-year-old unruly juvenile was reported as a runaway Thursday.
A man reported that his daughter’s mother made allegations that the man had touched his daughter inappropriately, in the Williamstown area. When asked by sheriff’s deputies about the issue, the woman retracted the claim.
A hunter fired a gun three times close to Hancock County 220 on Monday and was asked to stop.
Damage to a railroad crossing was reported at 4428 Pleasant Township 120, McComb, on Nov. 24.
A man took multiple tech-related items from a residence at 109 S. Main St., Van Buren, on Nov. 21.

From the public records of Hancock County Common Pleas Court:
James Rickman, 46, of Fostoria, was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions after pleading guilty to attempted domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony. The incident occurred March 31.

Cary Phillip Downing, 62, of Findlay, died May 5. Cause of death: combined drug toxicity (cocaine and heroin). Final ruling: accident.
Jonathan M. Fackler, 35, of Findlay; died April 9. Cause of death: overdose, likely involving acrylfentanyl. Final ruling: accident.
Michael Parks, 60, of Fostoria; died July 21. Cause of death: loss of blood from a dog bite. Final ruling: accident.
Bryce Van Heck, 24, of Findlay, died Aug. 28. Cause of death: gunshot wound to the head. Final ruling: suicide.
Ashley Lauren Deardorff, 22, of Bluffton, died Sept. 29. Cause of death: multiple blunt traumas due to a car accident. Final ruling: accident.
