Construction resumed Wednesday on the backstage area at the future Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Findlay, after a ceremonial groundbreaking was held Tuesday. The auditorium of the former Central Middle School, the structure seen here, will be incorporated into the arts center. About $13 million already has been raised for the center through private and corporate donations, and a public campaign has begun to raise about $2 million more. An endowment fund of $2 million will also help pay for the project, so total fundraising will be $17 million. (Photo by Randy Roberts)
