Traffic on Interstate 75 has been diverted up and over the ramps at the U.S. 224 interchange this week while workers demolish the northern half of the original bridge. Traffic at the exit has been diverted since Monday night and was expected to return to the normal lanes by 6 a.m. today. The U.S. 224 bridge has been closed to traffic this week, but the new southern half of the bridge is expected to reopen to traffic soon. The ramps will remain open for the remainder of the work. The $10.6 million project to replace the U.S. 224 bridge and rebuild the interchange is expected to be completed in late fall. (Photo by Randy Roberts)
