Fair Friday

With clear skies and temperatures barely breaking 80 degrees, the weather cooperated again on Friday for those who attended the Hancock County Fair. Among those enjoying the day were Dayna Pahl, top photo, who is watching over her niece Stephanie Brooks’ quarterhorse “April,” or maybe it is April who is watching over her. At left, Brandon Desgranges, left, 6, of Vanlue, and Kaleb Cooper, 8, of Mount Cory, raise a little cane with the prizes they won at one of the fair’s many games. Highlights for the remainder of the fair, which runs through Monday, include motocross racing tonight, a gospel concert on Sunday night and the annual demolition derby on Monday.
