This Nickel Plate Road 765 steam engine traveled through Mortimer and north Findlay on Tuesday morning on the way to Cuyahoga Valley National Park near Cleveland. The locomotive is a restored steam engine, originally built by the Lima Locomotive Works for the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad. It is owned by the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society. It will be used for passenger excursion trips on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad for the next two weekends. (Photo provided by Dan Merkel)
