Michael Burwell, an Ottawa, Ohio native and 2009 Ottawa-Glandorf High School alum, graduated from Ohio State University in 2013 with a degree in journalism. He previously worked at The Courier as a part-time sports writer (December 2013-August 2014), education reporter (August 2014-December 2014) and full-time sports writer (January 2015-March 2018). Burwell worked as a groundskeeper for Inverness Club in Toledo from March 2018-July 2019, and he has also worked at Moose Landing Country Club (formerly Country Acres Golf Club) and Findlay Country Club as a part-time groundskeeper. In his spare time, Burwell likes to play sports, listen to music and spend time with friends and family.
